Ohio GOP Director Justin Bis Bullies Independent Candidate Terpsehore Maras With Big Dollar Law Firm

By Patrick Walkey
The Ohio GOP stops at nothing to keep you enslaved within the false paradigm of the two party system.
I used to hate politics. I honestly still do.
In fact, the more I become involved, the more I develop a newly refined distaste for them.
I liken it to a flavor not too dissimilar to used cat litter that has grown mold, whereas the more I learn the more I realize what a slimy, sleazy and deceptive tree of corruption our nation and world governing bodies have grown into.
In sticking with the tree analogy, it is an arborist’s nightmare, so rife with the sight and stench of rotten seed that it is, often and sometimes literally, strangling out all of the budding fruit before it even has a chance to realize it’s full potential.
Surprisingly, where I used to find the political landscape boring and nothing more than a good reason to change the channel on the television, I now have a newfound appreciation for the inner workings that underpin the machine driving our illusory perception of reality as the real levers are being pulled behind the curtain.
I’m finding that if you hyper focus on any specific area, person or group within the political landscape, a picture will begin to emerge that was previously imperceptible.
I liken it to those Magic Eye pictures you see in the comic section of the newspaper.
Upon initially viewing it, you see the abstract image as it is presented.
But as you pull it close, back it off, turn it upside down, crumble it up and throw it in the garbage, you get yourself nowhere but frustrated because all along you are looking but, ultimately, never seeing.
It’s not until later, when you pull it back out of the waste basket for one last college try, that you finally begin to make out some of the details. Then suddenly your eyes catch a glimpse of a line and the shapes begin pulling together as your brain shifts and you begin to see that part of the picture that had been hiding there in plain sight the entire time. Now you have transcended from merely looking to finally seeing.
This too, is what happens in the world we all would like to think we know so intimately. A world controlled by the controllers, the gatekeepers and ultimately, managed by their minions trying to scratch and claw their way into their own perceived relevance by doing the bidding of the former.
What follows below will be another side of the same story currently being circulated, sans all of the copy and paste disinformation that you will find elsewhere regarding this particular subject. Hopefully some readers out there will find this perspective analysis useful.
This report comes to you not from a pundit, a reporter or even someone with credentials from a public office, but from the perspective of a father, an Ohio voter and a campaign insider with first hand experience of working within the corrupt machinations that are sadly our election process.
For the sake of full transparency, I am an active member of the Maras for Ohio campaign team.
Although my tone in this article may lean towards Ms. Maras, my true north objectivity, always points to what is factual regardless of what side those facts may fall on.
Now, if only we could get the perpetrators of this, make up the rules as we go along, rag-tag, broom closet procedural hearing to do the same, we just might have a starting point of some transparency to work with here.
Sadly, I know all too well that is asking too much from our selected officials and their ilk during these times. The funny part is that they still seem to think we don’t see them for what they truly are.
This was not intended to serve as some attempt at pitching a last minute, hail Mary statement with the hopes of it somehow crossing the desk of Frank LaRose before he laid down his final answer. That decision was clearly predetermined by others long before the inconvenient formality of a hearing ever took session.
The intention of this however, is not only to serve as a wake up call for those who believe that their voice and votes still matter to our selected officials, but also as a cartographic road map into the political landscape that is consistently obfuscated and purposely complicated to make it difficult for the non-anointed to run in any political race within our great nation.
Should you decide to run for office and make it past the initial gate-keeping, the bureaucratic filing of the paperwork or the gathering of your required signatures and come out complete, with all of your fingers and toes still in tact, fret not, they have many of other tools at their disposal, constitutional or otherwise, to take you out at the knees faster than you can say “campaign promise”.
We are living through a time in history when the reporters of yesteryear would have given an organ or two to break the kinds of stories that happen today on a daily basis.
Yet, rather than going out and breaking the news, our journalistic body has assumed the role of industry shill copywriters who have collectively turned a blind eye on humanity for the sake of following the prescribed narrative.
This is being written because there is another side of the story that isn’t being told — because our press is corrupt.
To more concisely lay this out, this will be a two-part story distinctly divided for illustrative purposes.
The first portion will deal with getting to know the players within our story, many directly involved and others maybe not so prominent, however, we will come to see that their mention will help in properly painting the overall picture.
The second part will dive into the meat of the story to lay this out from a more detailed perspective by sticking with the facts brought forth within this case.
So let’s get started with a little intro. Shall we?
SETTING THE STAGE:
The Players

Terpsehore (Tore) Maras
Successor to incumbent Frank LaRose as the 52nd Ohio Secretary of State in a free and fair election scenario.
Official media driven narrative-
Podcaster, conspiracy theorist, grifter, supporter of “QAnon”, election denier who erroneously believes the “long debunked conspiracy theory” that Donald Trump won the 2020 Presidential Election.
What the media isn’t saying-
Single mother of two girls, lover of country, whistle-blower, outspoken podcaster, ardent fighter for constitutional and states rights, proponent of fully transparent elections and returning to paper ballots, promoting business transparency and preserving state sovereignty.
Ms. Maras believes that Q was an infiltrated psyop and rightly supports the idea that “QAnon” is a media created conspiracy theory. Tore Maras does not support Q regardless of how many times the press wants to erroneously print or claim otherwise.

Frank LaRose
Incumbent: 51st Ohio Secretary of State
Official media driven narrative-
“As Ohio’s Secretary of State, LaRose is doing his part to deliver a thriving democracy and a prosperous economy. He is also supporting Ohio entrepreneurs as the sole authority to receive and approve articles of incorporation for Ohio businesses. In the legislature, LaRose spearheaded efforts to increase government transparency and efficiency, particularly in the areas of elections administration and regulatory reform.”
What the media isn’t saying-
- Illegally ordered boards of elections to cancel the March 3, 2020 primary election.
- Took $1.3 Million from Mark Zuckerberg’s Democrat “Get Out The Vote” fund and encouraged county boards of election to do the same. At least 43 did. Our legislature has since outlawed the practice.
- Was board member of a kids’ voting organization created by liberal activists which promoted “Critical Race Theory.”
He abruptly resigned last year once his membership was publicized. - Used his office to settle a political score. (Our Ohio Supreme Court unanimously overruled LaRose holding that he had abused the discretion of his office.)
- Frank LaRose is an international election meddler, laying claim to the Ukraine Presidential elections in 2019 and more recently in Nigeria “to reallocate polling places to eliminate long lines.”
Is that really all you did Frank? Because it seems far fetched that they needed to fly in whitey from another country just to figure out how to rearrange the roping for the lines and add a few folding chairs along the walls.

Justin Bis
Executive Director of the Ohio Republican Party
Plaintiff/Complainant
Official media driven narrative-
“Justin Bis was a Deputy State Director for the Trump Pence campaign in 2016 and served President Trump in the White House in the Presidential Personnel Office.” ” During his three years there, Bis was thrice promoted and left as a commissioned officer on the President’s staff.”
What the media isn’t saying-
No Starbucks barista positions for this guy, Bis has gone straight from college, to “Director” positions across the board. Everyone pays their dues on the way up, but this one would appear to have had his skids greased along the way to land the positions he has had while being so wet behind the ears.
Notable mention for Bis, is his Executive Director position with the ORP where he was able to keep his name out of a lawsuit where $3 million dollars of the Ohio GOP’s money was misappropriated on his watch.
See! Now aren’t you glad you stopped donating to the GOP.
This once more gives us the appearance that the skids have been greased for our young director at large: a theme that you will see carry itself through into part two of this report.

Brodi Conover Representing Bricker & Eckler LLP
Legal representation for Justin Bis, the Executive Director of the Ohio Republican Party
What the media isn’t saying-
Bricker & Eckler are former campaign contributors to Terrence O’Donnel (see below), current campaign contributor to Frank LaRose, former employer to Amanda Grandjean (see below) former employer to Terrence O’Donnell Jr. (see below).

Terrence O’Donnell
Retired Supreme Court Justice and personally hand picked stand in for Frank LaRose
Official media driven narrative-
“Justice O’Donnell served on the Supreme Court of Ohio from 2003-2018, and is one of Ohio’s longest-serving justices. During his time on the Court, he led statewide efforts to promote integrity and professionalism in law, leading to the creation of a nationally recognized Lawyer-to-Lawyer Mentoring Program. Justice O’Donnell also served on the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court for 14 years and the Eighth District Court of Appeals for eight years. He previously practiced law at Marshman, Snyder & Corrigan in Cleveland.”
What the media isn’t saying-
In February of 2005 Justice O’Donnell was mysteriously trotting around town with $18,000 in his vehicle and didn’t think to so much as put it into his trunk before going into an event. Upon leaving said event, he found his window smashed out with the entirety of his money missing.
He never really did explain why he was riding around with that much money in his car and didn’t seem very concerned with where it went. Oddly enough, the Justice’s car was also never dusted for finger prints according to the Plain Dealer.
It sounds like a scene from a movie where the corrupt judge pays off the would-be blackmailer without having to worry about explaining where that much money had suddenly disappeared to.
I’m not saying that is what happened to Justice O’Donnell in this instance. I imagine he was just not aware of the criminal statistics on vehicle break ins for people foolish enough to leave valuables and large sums of money laying out in the open in their unattended vehicle.
There’s no crime with being little absent minded.
Fun Fact: Justice O’Donnell’s son, Terrence O’Donnell Jr. served as an attorney at Brickler and Eckler for a 12 year stint and was acting Treasurer of the Bricker and Eckler Political Action Committee. (PAC)

Amanda Grandjean
Director of Elections and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Secretary of State Frank LaRose
Official media driven narrative-
“Amanda (Mandi) M. Grandjean is the Director of Elections and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Secretary of State Frank LaRose. She is a member of the National Association of Election Directors (“NASED”), the National Association of Secretaries of State (“NASS”),the Election Assistance Commission (“EAC”) Standards Board, the Electronic RegistrationInformation Center (“ERIC”), and the Bipartisan Policy Center’s (“BPC”) Election Task Force.”
What the media isn’t saying-
Prior to her time with the LaRose administration, Grandjean served as an attorney at Bricker & Eckler LLP with a special focus on election law, campaign finance, government relations and insurance regulation, among other things.
Bricker & Eckler LLP.
Now where have I heard that name before?
So let’s recap for all you kids keeping score out there.
LaRose is endorsed by the Ohio Republican Party.
Justin Bis is the Executive Director of the Ohio Republican Party, illustrating that Bis has a dog in the fight with LaRose and therefore, a vested motivation for picking on some little known independent candidate with his big dollar GOP attorneys.
Justin Bis is represented by Bricker & Eckler LLP, who used to employ Amanda Grandjean. Amanda is LaRose’s main gal at the office, being the next down under him. She was uniquely qualified for the positions and duties he has put her into based on her areas of focus during her time at Bricker & Eckler.
Our retired Justice Terrence O’Donnell has a son of the same name who spent 12 years with, none other than, Bricker & Eckler and has also served as their treasurer to their political action committee.
Fun fact:
Terrence O’Donnell Jr. left Bricker & Eckler to “lead Dickinson Wright’s firmwide government relations team”. Dickinson Wright PLLC is the firm currently representing Frank LaRose in his redistricting case with the Supreme Court. His attorney?
You guessed it! Terrence O’Donnell (0074213)
Oh yeah, and Bricker & Eckler contributed to the 2022 LaRose campaign. Nothing to see here.
Wow! Just wow!
Conflict of interest much?
All this and this is only the introductions. Wait until you read the details in part 2.
I am not going to promise a date, but I will have the second half completed and posted sometime this coming weekend.
